Rule 46 Motion via 3-year Provision Rule Change
Effective April 24, 2026, the eligibility for Motion via 3-year Provision requires that applicants who seek admission to the D.C. Bar demonstrate "active practice of law" for 3 of 5 years preceding the submission of their application.
The Committee on Admissions has issued the following guidance defining "active practice of law".
