Concurrent UBE/NextGen Transfer Applications July 2026

As previously announced, applicants who are sitting for the July 2026 bar exam in a different UBE/NextGen jurisdiction may make a concurrent application to the District of Columbia from May 1 to May 31, 2026 by creating an application account and selecting the Application for Admission by Transferred UBE Score located under  Information and Applications

A minimum UBE score of 266  or NextGen score of 616 is required to create eligibility for admission. Applicants are responsible for requesting that NCBE report their score to the District of Columbia. UBE scores must be reported to D.C. on or before January 15, 2027. Concurrent applicants who are successful on the July 2026 exam may expect to be reviewed for certification within four to six weeks after the Committee on Admissions determines that the background investigation has been completed and that all other conditions for admission have been met.

Application fees are not refundable or transferable. Fees for a concurrent application do not carry over to future exams or to other methods of application for admission. The applications for individuals who do not provide an official score report from NCBE with a UBE score of 266 or a NextGen score of 616 by January 15, 2027 will be terminated. Individuals with qualifying scores who do not provide an official report by the deadline will be required to submit a new application. UBE scores are valid for up to five years after their publication.
